Gateway Golf & Country Club is located within a Southwest Florida 3,000 acre, master-planned community. 18-hole, meticulously maintained, Tom Fazio masterpiece at the Gateway Golf & Country Club facility in Fort Myers, Florida which plays 7,047 yards from the longest tees with a par of 72 awaits your arrival. The course rating is 74.4 and carries a slope rating of 137. The golf course opened for play in 1989 and was immediately added to Golf Digest's list of Top 100 Courses. The recognition Gateway garnered from Golf Digest's Top 100 list earned the course the privilege of hosting the 1990 and '91 Ben Hogan Tour's Gateway Open. The Club has also hosted numerous USGA qualifiers and PGA chapter and section events, including the 2008 Callaway Golf State Pro-Assistant event, which was previously hosted by the well-known TPC @ Sawgrass. Gateway Golf & Country Club features six sets of tees, including senior tees for both gentlemen and ladies. Dining & Entertainment: Griffin Dining Room for an evening of fine food, laughter, and perhaps dancing. If you prefer a more casual approach to dining, you may go through to our Grille & Pub, or dine al fresco on the Verandah, within striking distance of the 10th tee, and enjoy the ambiance of the lit fountain and beautiful sunsets. It is our pleasure to serve you breakfast, lunch and dinner. "Wacky Wednesday" evenings are always fun, themed events, such as Italian Night or Turkey Night. "British Bingo" or Trivia are played, with ever increasing cash prizes helping to fuel the excitement. Fridays offer a Happy Hour from 5-9pm with live music. Clubs within the Club, like our Creative Artisans who get together to create art and crafts in the relaxed atmosphere of the Clubhouse. Gardening Club if youre more suited to the outdoors, taking a stroll through their beautifully maintained NABA Certified Butterfly Garden which was just recently finished in early 2015. While outdoors, feel free to bring your dog to Yappy Hour or join our Bocce Ball Club every Thursday evening (with tremendous drink specials!). If you would like to meet a great group of ladies, join the Ladies Breakfast Club which is held once a month on a Saturday morning.
